Our Contract with You

Your order is an offer to buy from us. There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we accept your order and in the case of beers and goods to be delivered to you, when we actually despatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods or services to you without giving any reason. At the moment we accept your order or in the case of delivery of goods, when the goods are despatched, a contract will be made between you and us.

Description and Prices

The description and prices payable for the items or services that you order are clearly set out in our price list, brochures and/or website. If, by mistake, an item is under-priced, we will not be liable to provide that item to you at the stated price provided that we notify you before we despatch the item concerned or, in the case where we are not despatching an item, within 2 working days of our acceptance of your order and we may cancel your order provided we refund you with any payments you have made. You may agree the correct price in which case we will proceed with your order. In the unlikely event that an item has been over-charged a full refund of the difference will be given.


Terms and conditions apply to all vouchers purchased from or in association with to The Hoptimist LTD.
The terms and conditions are subject to change and are the discretion of the business, as follows:

  1. A voucher is redeemable in its entirety only and may not be redeemed incrementally.
  2. A voucher cannot be combined with other offers, except as permitted by the business.
  3. A photocopy or other type of copy of the original voucher will not be accepted.
  4. A voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
  5. A voucher is only redeemable in the form it was purchased. Online vouchers can only be redeemed on web purchases, if you wish to use a voucher instore, you must purchase this instore, or contact us directly to purchase a voucher for use instore.

How to Pay

We accept Visa, Mastercard, credit and debit. Orders may be delayed by transfers of money or credit card authorisations not being confirmed by the respective banks. Please note that it is the customer’s responsibility to contact the bank to speed up the process if the order is required urgently. Credit cards are always debited in UK pounds sterling. Please note that payment will be taken in full at the time or ordering.


Standard delivery is within five working days from the day of placing the order. Usually, orders placed before midday will be dispatched the same day and arrive the following day. Please note, any orders placed on Friday (after 12pm), Saturday, or Sunday, may not be dispatched until Monday. Any orders placed on Mondays will not be dispatched until the following day. Please note, any orders place within bank holidays will be dispatched the following working day.

Special Deliveries:

Scottish highlands and lowlands incur extra delivery. We will make you aware of this after you have placed an order with us. This extra delivery charge must be paid before the goods are dispatched.

Sadly, we are unable to carry out deliveries outside the UK.

Quality of Guarantee

We are committed to providing our customers with an unsurpassed level of service and are equally committed to ensuring we provide a safe and legal product. If a beer is faulty we will offer a replacement so long as it is returned to us within 5 days of opening to enable us to verify their condition and the problem If you believe a product to be faulty, please contact us. For damage to products in transit, we may ask for proof of this via a photograph of the product and the packaging. Please note, all sale items are close to or past their best before end date. If you require information regarding dates, please contact us directly.

Substitutes/ Availability

All goods are subject to availability. If the goods you order are not available you will be advised and offered an alternative. No payment will be taken until you have confirmed the amended order.


All goods ordered remain the property of The Hoptimist Ltd until payment is received in full.

Failure to Pay

Should your credit or debit card have insufficient credit, we reserve the right to invoice you for the costs incurred in making requests for payment.

Returns & Refund Policy

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.


You have ​14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase. For damage to products in transit, we may ask for proof of this via a photograph of the product and the packaging.

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your payment issuer’s policies.
