For many years, Spezial Gold has demonstrated remarkable sportsmanship. As the most experienced member of the Waldhaus team, our golden boy already shone on the team of founder Johann Schmid. Originally known as a construction worker’s beer, Spezial Gold has worked its way to the top with us. First, Spezial Gold won a gold medal in the Export category at the European Beer Star, and then went on to win the World Championship title at the International Beer Cup Japan. It has even stood atop the podium at the German Agricultural Society (DLG) 27 times. In our cozy Black Forest training camp, Spezial Gold has been crowned Lager Champion countless times, thus achieving the status of a golden classic.
